Job Description:

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sr. Video Editor located in the San Diego, California. The Senior Video Editor will be responsible for video production, video editing, video color grading, motion graphics, and graphics. We are seeking an industry professional who is not only an outstanding storyteller, but has leadership, vision and the ability to push creative boundaries within the field.

Functions:

• Edit high-quality promotional, commercial, and branded content videos.
• Create rough cuts and previews for client and internal reviews.
• Implement motion graphics, visual effects, and animations.
• Sync audio, clean up background noise, and mix sound for high-quality output.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling visual narratives.
• Handle backups and storage of projects to ensure data security.
• Resize and reformat videos for different social media platforms.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years of experience in video editing / post production. Please provide an online portfolio and/or updated reel to showcase your talent and experience.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere on Mac.
• Proficiency with After Effects, Media Encoder, & DaVinci Resolve.
• Solid understanding of various media formats, codecs, resolutions, and compression best practices.
• Experience with incorporating sound design, cutting music and dialogue.
• Ability to optimize videos for multiple social media platforms.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with creative teams, producers, and clients.

Extra Credit:

• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for leveraging generative AI tools in content creation and post-production workflows. Ability to seamlessly integrate, learn and stay on the cutting edge.
• Experience with Rotoscoping and VFX Compositing is a plus.
